Arne Jacobsen 1902-1971: Lounge chair, model The Egg, upholstered in black leather, patina to the leather. Swivel stem with tilt function and aluminium foot. Originally designed in 1958-59 for the Hotel Royal in Copenhagen. Literature: C Thau / K. Vindum, 'Arne Jacobsen', 1998, e.g. discussed pp. 144, 432, reproduced pp. 433, 438-439, 467, 471-472. White stain on the underside of the cushion.
