Item ID: 291550

Item Description

Chair w: 70cm, h: 73cm, d: 98cm, Stool w: 63cm, h: 34cm, d: 70cm. Dated circa 1928 this fabulous art deco chair shows Jourdain's trademark flair for design. With a unified dynamism, the shape of the chair's arms is echoed in the frame of the footstool. It is perfectly suited to a spacious contemporary or art deco interior. The reclining chair is adjustable to five positions, for varying degrees of relaxation. The condition is very good, with no structural flaws whatsoever. There is some historic water staining on the back of the chair, and minor patina throughout, consistent with age. The wood frame of the footstool has some surface wear on the right hand side. These signs of age are superficial and could be easily restored. The adjustable mechanism is smooth, the wooden frames with no cracks, break or repairs of any kind.
