Artichoke Lamp by Poul Henningsen for sale
Item ID: 544313
Item DescriptionThe Danish architect Poul Henningsen designed his legendary so-called Artichoke Lamp in 1957. The lamp was originally commissioned for the Langelinie Pavilion in Copenhagen. For the corpus of the lamp Henningsen used 72 leaves, which cover the light source in 12 rows. Because of the use of separate leaves, which are positioned in different angels, Henningsen optimized the light scatter while illuminated.
