At Deconet you will have your own showroom from where you can sell, manage, organize and control your showroom inventory. This includes all kinds of statistics and reports at the tip of your fingers.
Our simple goal is to help you maximise the return on your on-line marketing investment, and simplify the way that you interact with your customers, taking out the hassle of dealing with online sales.

All professional dealers and auctioneers selling Modern Design can apply for a showroom on Deconet. We will approve your application no later than within three working days.
You will pay a monthly subscription fee for your showroom, and the fee depends on the size of your showroom.
We currently offer two sizes:

All sales from the showroom will be charged with a 5% commission fee, which will be deducted from the sales price.
A transaction fee of 2% will be charged for the payment and transaction service provided by Deconet.
Deconet will release the funds from the sale to you when the buyer or the shipper have collected the sold item.

Sell your vintage design items as a private seller on Deconet. List your items for sale and reach out to a global community of design lovers - professional or private enthusiasts. Selling locally or internationally - it is up to you to decide. Follow our easy 3-step listing process to get your object listed easily and quickly.
If you intend to ad an item which you do not know the origin of, the Deconet experts might be of help. At a limited cost, we help you identify and valuate your object in addition to and before listing it on Deconet. These items will be tagged 'Deconet Certified' in the listings. In cases when we cannot identify the designer or maker or have difficulties to give an accurate valuation, your item will not be published as 'Deconet certified' - and you will not be billed.

You can sell to anyone you like. Observe that sales are not done on Deconet.com. Deconet serves as an advertising site and facilitate the contact between you and a potential buyer.
Deconet is a marketplace for vintage 20th century design. We accept most objects by known designers and manufacturers, but also unknown decorative objects that we like and that we think are relevant to our user base.

If your objects does not get sold, and you have not marked it sold within two months, you will be automatically notified 3 days before your listing is about to expire. You are offered the possibility to prolong your listing for another two months, at a discounted rate.
When you sell something through Deconet it is a deal between you and the buyer. Pickup or Shipping is also something that you as a seller need to solve together with the buyer. When you list your objects for sale, you can select whether you only want to sell locally, nationally or internationally. To assist a potential buyer finding a suitable shipping solution when required, you may contact any of the shippers who are part of the Deconet network. Your chance of selling your item increases if the more service you can offer an interested buyer.
Yes, you need to create a user account with address and contact information in order to place a listing. Please note that only general information such as city and country is displayed in connection with your listing. You choose to submit detailed contact information when discussing with potential buyers. When placing your ad, you can choose whether you want to display your phone number or not in connection with the ad.
1. Sell your object with good pictures
Take good and sufficiently many photographs of your object. Make sure your photos give the buyer a correct idea of your object. Try to ensure sufficient light and try to use a neutral background. Simple editing of your images in a standard image processing tool can enhance image quality of a standard digital photograph substantially. Manufacturers stamps, signatures all add information to a potential buyer and should be documented as far as possible
2. Describe your objects accurately
Describe the object accurately with regards to materials, colors, condition etc. Be clear and precise. This will prevent unnecessary questions.
3. Enhance the visibility of your ad
By choosing to make your object a 'Featured' object, it will receive more attention in search results and thus attract more potential buyers.
