Deconet also encompasses Decopedia - The Encyclopedia for Modern Design - which lists relevant 20th century designers including images and reference prices of their works.
Dealers and auctioneers advertise Modern Design objects for sale through their online showrooms. Dealer objects can be purchased directly on the site, while auction objects can be bidded on after being redirected to the auctioneer's site.
Deconet always has a constant flow of new objects for sale. New Dealers are joining the site and new inventory listings are posted to the site every hour.
An informative weekly email newsletter keeps members up-to-date on new inventory, dealers, shows and other industry related news. As a Deconet member, you will get contacted as soon as the item you are looking for gets listed through our Alert function.
Items can be purchased directly on Deconet with all major Credit Cards. When purchasing and object directly on Deconet, you are guided through the payment process and redirected to an encrypted card payment page provided by our Payment Service Provider partner. Upon a successful transaction, you will get a printable receipt. Shipping quotes can be obtained before or after purchasing an object through a few easy steps.
Each seller on Deconet is a professional dealer in vintage Modern Design. Each seller is individually evaluated and authorized by Deconet. We will also hold your funds for the purchase until the you have collected your purchased item or until the item has been shipped on your request.
No, you can browse Deconet without registering on our site. However, you get free access to even more services as a Deconet member. Certain features on the site such as price- and shipping requests require registration and login by providing an email address and password.
Deconet takes NO commission from the buyer.
If you do not have the possibility to arrange shipping or pickup, you can easily obtain shipping quotes from the dealer himself or any of the Deconet's shipping partners. Although the buyer is formally responsible for shipping arrangements and -costs, in most cases the seller will be able to manage that for you
