Who arranges the shipping?
Prices quoted on our website do not include shipping costs. Shipping is the buyer?s responsibility. We offer a service. ?Get Shipping Quote?, to buyers who want to receive an estimate of the transportation cost before deciding on a purchase. Most sellers are able to manage shipping. If not, Deconet?s appointed shipping partners will supply you with a quote. We advise you to compare shipping quotes from several shippers in order to achieve best service and price.
We work with a network of local, national and international shippers who specialize in shipping fragile and valuable objects. They know the specific care and handling that is required.
Deconet recommends that you insure your item while it is in transit.
Why do two similar items sometimes differ in price?
Most objects offered by our sellers are vintage, with as much as possible of the historical patina and original wear remaining. Most of these objects are likely to be worn in some way.
Depending on their condition and history, the items have different price levels. Sometimes worn pieces are more expensive than new, other times it's the opposite. That is part of the charm.
We encourage all our sellers to describe the condition of an item as detailed as possible, and provide an accurate description in text with relevant images. This should make it possible for you to make a reasonable judgement of the object's condition.
Deconet takes no responsibility for the condition of items or if the seller's description is incomplete or incorrect.
